As a dressage rider, I spend several hours with my horses every day. The right functional clothing for the icy winter months has so far been missing in my wardrobe. Anyone who rides can easily understand how the proverbial, cold feet feel. However, a thick or second pair of socks is only possible at the expense of comfort in the already tight-fitting boots. 

I am very happy that I can now test the applicability of the smart textiles from Lenz in equestrian sports and I am surprised and excited at the same time. The heat socks 1.0 slim fit are not bulkier than other, conventional socks, so I feel good in my boots. The small batteries are usually connected to the sock waistband. Since there is no room for these in riding boots, Lenz offers a suitable solution with the cable extension (extension cords 80cm or extension cords 120cm). I connect the batteries to the extension using the snaps, and then they simply go into my jacket pocket. The cable doesn't bother you at all during training. Incidentally, the lithium packs are very easy to operate, even with gloves. The lowest of three intensity levels is enough to ensure good blood circulation in the feet.

In addition to the socks, I wouldn't want to be without the heat vest 1.0 women and the heat Bandage 1.0 in my daily training. When riding, warm clothing can protect the upper body from the cold much better than the feet. With these two products, which I wear alternately, I no longer have to dress like an onion, which gives me not only sufficient warmth but also the freedom of movement that I need to be able to concentrate fully on the sport. Here, too, the lowest power level provides enough heat so that the 4-5 hours a day in the stable are noticeably more comfortable.

For rainy or snowy tournament days, the Space Dryer 1.0 can no longer be missing in your luggage. With its expandable, extra-long tubes (38cm extension), it dries my boots in a short time. In addition to the flawless and robust processing of the products, I would also like to emphasize the quality of the packaging. In order to have long friends with the Lenz products, there is a hard shell case for every heat vest 1.0, in which each element of the product gets a foam-bedded place. This avoids transport damage and ensures the sustainability of the product.

Thanks to the heat vest 1.0 and the heat bandage 1.0, cold shivers no longer run down my back. I was also able to say goodbye to my cold feet with the help of the heat socks and so I am already looking forward to further innovative ideas that will bring me up to temperature on cold days so that I can focus on the sport.
