As a producer and as a consumer, you can give tailwind to the "big picture" with every contribution, no matter how small. The relief of our earth.
Basically, as consumers, we decide what we buy and why. "think about" was created for people who have an eye on the "big picture".
"think about" as food for thought what the purchase of a product means for our world. From packaging to disposal at the end of the product lifecycle.
As a small Austrian family business, we have decided to develop textile products that have as little impact on our world as possible, from the raw material to the packaging. With this we want to offer all people who are concerned about our environment products that support their way of thinking.
We don't start with the perfect result, but with this step we are treading a new path to get a little closer to the "big picture". To relieve our world - our only world.
We cannot save the world with our company, but we can set positive impulses through our products to relieve our world. As a small family business, we want to make the right decisions: from resource-saving production to non-toxic dyeing processes and plastic-free packaging. Knitted in the first "green factory" for socks! During product development, the focus was on a longer "lifespan" in order to reduce the personal mountain of rubbish of all socks wearers.
"Think About" your personal garbage mountain.
As a family business, we feel obliged to protect and preserve the Alpine habitat - for us and our descendants. That's why part of the proceeds from the "think about" socks goes directly to the Alpine Club for projects such as landscape cleaning or hiking trail maintenance.
The switch from fossil fuels to energy generation is a trend that is inevitable for our future. That's why we produce our "think about" socks in the world's first GREEN FACTORY for these textiles. This means that all of the energy required for production is obtained from renewable resources.
A production of textiles without any CO2 pollution for our environment is currently not possible, that's how realistic we are. As a company, however, we have control over which partners we work with and what requirements we place on new production facilities. With our "long life" product line, we take the first steps with like-minded people who also believe that doing is better than waiting.
When dyeing with chemicals, there is a very high risk that these will simply be discharged unfiltered into the waste water. This is a big problem worldwide. Our socks are dyed with natural dyes - environmentally friendly and without the use of chemical additives. In addition, we pay attention to conscious waste water management in production.
Germany alone produces almost 400,000 tons of textile waste every year - that makes 4.7 kg of textile waste per person per year. One of the reasons for this is the “fast fashion” trend. With our "think about" socks, we want to counteract this trend by making our products particularly durable and thus producing less waste.
